Puuck: The Story
Hello, I am Bruce De Vuyst, a 20-year-old, and the creator of Puuck. Puuck originated in 2020 out of boredom when I, along with some friends, began crafting handmade stickers at our local skatepark featuring political and amusing content. The name Puuck emerged later as a playful alteration of a cigarette butt. When the youth works of Roeselare noticed our endeavor, they suggested creating a few hoodies. Without hesitation, we embarked on our first hoodie-making venture. The positive reception from friends and family encouraged me to produce more, turning what started as a joke into something more substantial.
As time passed, I expanded my designs and entertained the idea of launching our first skateboard. The production took a year before hitting the market. Initially, everything happened through Instagram, but with a bit of success, I decided to establish my own website. Unfortunately, I faced a setback when my Instagram account was hacked, momentarily dampening my spirits. However, I chose to restart and take things more seriously. I began seeking better quality and focused more on streetwear designs. Today, my collection includes a variety of items, from hoodies to pants and skateboards.
While walking through Roeselare with my girlfriend, we stumbled upon a multi-story building with a storefront. Spontaneously, we decided to explore it. Originally, I never intended to open a Puuck store because it seemed too large solely for Puuck clothing. However, my passion for exclusive sneakers and vintage clothing made me realize the untapped market in Roeselare. With no existing resell shop and vintage store, I decided to incorporate these elements into the store. And that's how everything came together. Looking forward to seeing you in the store. Regards, Bruce.
